The story, people and achievements behind Roots World School: a Finland-inspired school in its fourth year, built on care, curiosity and trust.

Since 2024

Our Story

Founded in 2024 by educators who believed school could be kinder, and better.

Roots World School began with 110 students, nine teachers and a conviction: that the world's most effective education systems succeed by trusting children and teachers, not by pressuring them. Our founders spent two years studying the Finnish model first-hand before adapting it for Indian families.

Four years on, we are a community of over 300 students from Nursery to Grade 4, growing one grade each year until our first Senior batch graduates. What hasn't changed is the promise we made on day one: every child known, every child challenged, every child cared for.

NIOS – National Institute of Open Schooling
Roots World School is in the process of completing the accreditation formalities with the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS). NIOS provides flexible learning opportunities through the Open and Distance Learning (ODL) system, supporting learners through diverse educational pathways.
